See a GP in Dubai about stress, anxiety, low mood or sleep
How you feel and how your body works are closely linked. Stress and poor sleep can raise blood pressure, blood sugar and weight, and physical health problems can weigh on your mood. At FanCare your GP looks at both.
When to come in
You do not need a diagnosis or a crisis to talk to a GP.
- Feeling stressed, overwhelmed or close to burnout
- Low mood or losing interest in things
- Worry or anxiety that is hard to switch off
- Trouble getting to sleep, staying asleep or waking tired
- Changes in appetite, energy or concentration
What to expect
A private, unhurried conversation about how you have been feeling, how you are sleeping and what is weighing on you, using recognised screening questions where they help. Your GP also looks at physical, medication-related, sleep and lifestyle contributors, and checks for red flags that need urgent help.
Next steps
Together we agree what would help, from practical changes to sleep and routine to initial management and follow-up with your GP. FanCare does not provide psychological therapy or specialist psychiatric care; when they are the right next step, we refer you to a licensed service.
Mind and body in one plan
Heart and metabolism
Long-term stress and poor sleep can push up blood pressure and blood sugar, so we check them too.
Hormones
PMOS and perimenopause can affect mood and sleep. Your GP looks for these links.
Coordinated support
If you need a psychologist or psychiatrist, we arrange it and keep your physical health care joined up.
Mental wellbeing questions
Can I see a GP about stress, anxiety or low mood?
Yes. A GP is a good first step. We talk through how you have been feeling, use recognised screening tools where helpful, look at sleep, lifestyle, medication and physical causes, and agree next steps.
Do you provide therapy or psychiatry?
No. FanCare provides GP assessment, initial management and follow-up. Psychological therapy and specialist psychiatric care are provided by licensed specialist services, and we refer you when they are needed.
Why does a preventive clinic look at mental health?
Stress, sleep and mood affect blood pressure, blood sugar, weight and daily habits, and the reverse is also true. Looking at them together is part of integrated care.
What if I need help urgently?
If you are in crisis or thinking of harming yourself, call 999 (police) or 998 (ambulance), or go to your nearest emergency department now.
